What People Are Saying

“I live alone and I am blind. I can type messages out by speaking into my phone. More than one year ago, I needed help and the Built for Jesus ministry found out. They came to my home and did the necessary repair work, but it didn’t stop there. Not only have they still helped me at other times, but some women on their team come once a month to clean my house. Built for Jesus is a team that is men and women who love Jesus, and they love me.
I may not be able to see with my eyes, but I can see with my heart that people in the Built for Jesus ministry care. I’m thankful they are in my life.”

“I am a widow, a grandma, and I live alone.  Over a year ago, members of the Built for Jesus team discovered I had some repairs that needed to be done in the trailer I live in. I didn’t know what to do, needed help, and before I knew it, the Built for Jesus team spent time at my home doing repairs for me. I’m thankful for the help I received from them and blessed to know them.
Whenever I see them, it makes me smile because of the happiness I see in them. Each of them desires to represent Jesus and clearly demonstrate His love and care.

They are very special to me. I thank Jesus for how I can see Him shine through this ministry.”

“I had a problem where I was living and needed help. I was aware of the Built for Jesus ministry team, and after calling one of their members, told him about my problem. In a few days, a couple of their guys were at my home, and in about an hour, the problem was fixed. But it didn’t stop there because soon something else was wrong with my light, and I called one of their members who is a minister, and again, they came out and fixed the problem. But it goes on because a month later, my dad had a problem at his house, and sure enough, the Built for Jesus team arrived and repaired what was needed to be done.

I don’t consider these guys as my friends because they’re more important than that. I call them my Christian Brothers. I am definitely blessed they are a part of my life, and I thank God for them.”

“I am a senior lady living alone who takes care of all her house and yard. Last spring, I had a bathroom sink drain and a kitchen faucet that messed up, and I couldn’t fix it. My neighbor recommended Built for Jesus, so I called them. They came out and took about five minutes to fix the bath drain. They put a new faucet in the kitchen, much nicer than the one I had. I now have a sprayer to rinse my dishes. I not only got my sink fixed that day, but I also made three new friends, Builders for Jesus. These are Christian men, nice, kind, and very talented. I told them if they had time, I needed some kind of handrail by my deck. The step on it was made too small, and I had fallen down them. A few days later, they came back with material left over from another job they had done for someone. They made my step wider and fixed my handrails for the step. They care about you as a person and want you to be safe.
A few months later, the ceiling fan in my dining room quit working, so I called my friends. They came out, took the fan down, and the electrician tried to make it work so I wouldn’t have the expense of a new fan. He finally decided it would cost more to fix it than getting a new one. Once I got the fan, they installed it. It cools and lights my dining area perfectly.  While we were talking fans, I told them I didn’t use my air conditioning that much because I had a ceiling fan that I use, but the louvers didn’t open all the way, and I had to put something in it to hold them open. They asked if they could look at it, and I said sure. Before they left that day, they had crawled through a hole into my attic twice, and the motor to my attic fan got cleaned along with the louvers. One of my Built for Jesus friends realized my control to the fan wasn’t working properly, so they took the model number and promised me they would be back to replace it before I needed the fan.
In October, my grandkids were taking me on vacation. They were picking me up on Saturday morning at 2:20 for the airport. On Friday afternoon, the power to my house messed up, and I didn’t have power to over half of my house. I tried fixing things but couldn’t do anything except run an extension cord to my freezer. I called my Built for Jesus friends, and they said they would come out Monday morning. I trust these men with everything I have, so I gave them my house code and went on vacation.  One week later it was great coming home at midnight to a house with lights, and while they were here, they put the new control on my attic fan.
These guys are great. They do God’s work where it is needed. I follow them on Facebook and see all they do. They are my brothers in Christ.”
